Morocco: President of Montenegro at Crans Montana Forum
The President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović participates in the Crans Montana Forum which takes place in Rabat, Morocco, from 19 to 22 June, under the patronage of King Mohammed VI.

The Forum is devoted to peace and development in the Mediterranean and improving cooperation in this Region.

President Vujanović delivered a speech at the opening of the Forum.

The following is the text of the keynote speech by President Vujanović:

Your Excellencies,
Distinguished co-chairs,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is a great pleasure for me to take part in the 25th annual session of the Crans Montana Forum, which takes place under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the ISESCO headquarters here in Rabat. I am proud to be a part of it for so many years now and I am especially grateful to the organizers for inviting me to celebrate together this remarkable anniversary. I would also like to express my highest appreciation to the host for the excellent organization and warm welcome.

It is almost 30 years of a successful mission of the Crans Montana Forum in connecting people and nations and contributing to a more human and impartial world, together with its institutional partners such as the UN, UNESCO, UNIDO, ISESCO, NATO, the European Union, the Council of Europe and major international Groups. Therefore, ambassador Jean Paul Carteron, certainly, deserves special appreciation and respect for his commitment and devotion.

Montenegro is proud to have been the host of the Forum in 2006, thus sending the strongest message of support for its noble mission and activities.

The place of this annual session also strongly confirms the essential values that the Crans Montana Forum has been committed to for years. MoroccoÈs commitment to the values of openness, moderation, tolerance and dialogue for mutual understanding between the cultures and civilizations, together with its rich history and culture, and the ISESCO, as a great promoter of the dialogue among civilizations, emphasize crucial values and prerequisites in bringing the worlds together and a great meeting place for Africa, the Arab world, Central Asia, the Far East and the Mediterranean. Synergy of their natural, financial and industrial resources makes a promising and solid foundation for the south-south relationship and cooperation.

Being a part of the Mediterranean area, Montenegro is fully aware of the potentials and the challenges of the region and its contributions to the peace and stability, as key prerequisites for the development and cooperation, are recognized in the international community.

As a multiethnic, tourism oriented country, with no open issues with its neighbours and on its successful way towards the EU and the Euro-Atlantic integrations, Montenegro will continue to give its contribution to the mutual respect and understanding and improvement of the cooperation both at the regional and global level.
Thanks for your attention.
